I’m Birmingham born, and brought up in and around the Black Country, in the West Midlands. After studying English and being a Choral Scholar at Trinity College Cambridge, I made my living for a while as a semi-professional choral singer, and bookseller, before becoming a professional fundraiser in 1997.
I started writing poetry in November 2017, after years of telling myself it would be stupid to even try, and have been utterly astonished at the warm reception my work has received over the last two years. I’m especially delighted that my work is now being published by the lovely folk at Yaffle, the exciting new Yorkshire poetry press!
